They usually have two parts: the "if" clause (condition) and the main clause (result).
Zero Conditional (facts and general truths)

If you heat water to 100°C, it boils.

First Conditional (real future possibilities)

If it rains, we will stay inside.

Second Conditional (hypothetical or unlikely situations)

If I had a car, I would drive to work.

Third Conditional (past situations that didn’t happen)

If she had studied, she would have passed the exam.
