Plot

- Sergeant-Major Morris visits
- Army in India got a Monkey's paw
- Three wishes that will come true
- Paw is cursed and wishes will turn out badly

- Herbert doesn't believe the paw is real
- Mr. White wishes for 200 pounds to pay his mortgage
- Nothing happens
- Next day, Herbert goes to work
- Later, a man stops by from the company Herbert works for
- Herbert got stuck in a machine and died

- As a solicitor (notaris) was sent to Eel Marsh House
- Home of Mrs. Alice Drablow, who had passed away
- Meets Sam Daily, little too interested in him 
- Townspeople get nervous when he asks them 
- Home lies near the coast, road is cut off by water

Plot

- Funeral of Mrs. Drablow, Arthur sees a woman in black 
- Mr. Keckwick drives Arthur to the house
- Stays for a few days & sees scary things 
   (a moving rocking chair, child screaming, etc.)
- Speaks to Sam Daily again
- Mrs. Drablow's sister, Jennet, had a child 
- Mrs. Drablow took the child in, but it died in an accident

Plot

- Mrs. Drablow's sister, Jennet, sees the boy dying in the
