Activating prior knowledge
  • Which three words do we usually use to talk about the
  • future? Can you use one of them in a sentence?
  • So, when do we use shall?
  • Can you name one difference between 'will' and 'going to' and give an example?

offer, refusal, promise, suggestion, request:
He'll carry your bag for you.

we use shall when:
we're talking about 'I' or 'we'.

Asking for opinion:
Shall I wear this dress?

Offering something:
Shall we help you?

Requesting something: 
Shall we go for a walk?

Present simple 
De present simple (hele ww/hele ww+s) kan je gebruiken voor dingen die volgens schema gaan gebeuren:
> The bus leaves at 3 pm.
> The excursion starts in the lobby.
> What time is your yoga class?

De present continuous (to be+ww-ing) kan je gebruiken voor dingen die gepland zijn en vrijwel zeker gaan gebeuren. 
> We are watching a movie tomorrow.
> Are you inviting the neighbours?
