2A Give example with the class and point out that Student A must be pointing at emoji A. If they were pointing at a different emoji, the answer would be ‘No, I’m not.’ Demonstrate with a stronger student. Put Ss in A/B pairs to test each other.

4A Read the question with the class and make sure Ss know what to listen for. Ss listen and answer the question, then check in pairs. Check answers with the class. ANSWERS: date/time: evening, event: film and eat first, location: meet at the cinema.
5A Play audio. ANSWERS: 1 + 2 – 3 – 4 + 5 – 6 + ask: ‘How do you know?’ (because of the intonation they use).
