Reading

What is "skimming" through a text? 

Let's read the introduction and the first sentence of the second paragraph together. (page 62).

• What is the text about? 
• Can you answer 41b-2? 
• Can you answer 41c-1? 

Do it yourself

• Skim through the text and do exercise 41b. 
• Read the text again and do exercise 41c. 

Time: 10 minutes. 

Voice level: First 5 minutes whispering.

Finished early? Do exercise 41d and 43.

• Option 1: 

1. Google yourself. See what you find. 
2. Choose one photo you found that you want to have taken down. Write a formal letter to google in which you show the photo, explain why you want it to be taken down from the internet and ask google to do this. 

Cannot find a photo? You can also make this up. 

• Option 2: 

1. Someone else is pretending to be you on Instagram. They are using your name and pictures. Write a formal letter to Instagram in which explain the situation, why you want the account to be taken down and ask Instagram to do this. 

Use 75-100 words. You may also include the photo you found online.
