  • Difference between some and any: 
Some: positive & questions- Vrij zeker dat het antwoord ja is of dat er iets/iemand is. 
Any: negative & questions- Niet zeker of het maakt je echt niets uit.

- Can someone help me fix my bike? 
- I don't need anyone to help me fix my bike. 
- We can go anywhere.

Gerund and -to infinitive

Gerund 

  • Werkwoord gebruikt als zelfstandig naamwoord en eindigt op -ing. 

Going to parties can be fun. 
I like travelling
I stopped drawing.


  • Als onderwerp van een zin. 
  • Na: "to (dis) like, to love, to miss, to avoid, to enjoy, to hate, to remember, to stop, to begin, to start...." (Zie pagina 235). 


Bij "like, love, hate en prefer" mag je beide gebruiken!
 
To-infinitive

  • Na bepaalde woorden krijg je to + het hele werkwoord. 


He learned to play chess. 
Please remind your brother to do the dishes. 
I am so happy to see you. 


  • Na: "to hope, to ask, to refuse, to expect, to want, to choose, to decide, to learn, to like, to love". 
  • Na het lijdend voorwerp (object). 
  • Na verschillende bijvoeglijk naamwoorden. (adjectives).
