Speaking practice
  • Voor je ligt oefenmateriaal dat bij het taaldorp Engels hoort. Bij het taaldorp Engels krijgt je telkens verschillende situaties waarover je praat in het Engels. 

  • De onderwerpen die terug komen op het taaldorp zijn onderwerpen die je al eerder hebt moeten leren uit je boek, zoals de expressions en vocabulary.

  • Bij elk onderwerp krijg je een tabel, zodat je alle zinnen kunt uitschrijven. Je kunt hiervoor (deels) je boek gebruiken.

Answering questions about yourself and others
  • Go to pages 128-129 in your workbook read through the vocabulary words, and focus on the words that you can use to describe yourself or someone else.
  • Go to page 61 in your workbook and read through expression C.
  • Now read the expressions out loud, and take turns when reading.

Introduce yourself
  • Go to page 61 in your book read through the words and study expression C
  • Study expression C again.
  • Take turns in interviewing each other with a classmate.
  • One person asks the questions from expression C and the other answers them. Switch roles, so everyone has asked and answered the questions.

  • Go to page 89 in your workbook and use the vocabulary to answer the questions:
    Describe description of your physical appearance
    1. What are you wearing? 2. Colour of your hair/eyes?
  • Go to page 129 in your book and study expressions A, B and C.
  • Describe your personality. What else can you say about yourself?

Describe a family members appearance
  • Go to page 36 and study expression E, then describe a family member and tell what they look like.
  • Describe someone else in your family, describe their appearance.
  • Give a short description of another family member, and give basic information about where and with who that person lives.

  • Choose a family member you want to describe to your classmate.
  • Describe this person's appearance and character.
  • Use five sentences to describe your family member.
  • Switch roles, so everyone has described one person.

  • Work in pairs, study the examples 
  • Describe yourself or who your best friend is.
  • Describe how you look and what your personality is like. Or decide to describe someone else.
