  • Je gebruikt both, either, neither als je wilt verwijzen naar twee personen of dingen.
Both (beide): I can't choose, I like them both.
Either (een van beide): Who did this? – It must be either of them.
Neither (geen van beide): I'm afraid neither day suits me.

Als je in de zin beide personen of dingen wilt benoemen, gebruik je vaak de volgende samenstellingen:
Both ... and (zowel ... als): Both Julie and Trevor fell ill after our dinner.
Either ... or (of ... of): We can go either to the zoo or the park.
Neither ... nor (noch ... noch): I'm afraid I like neither the zoo nor the park.
