Exercise 1: The number of cycling trips in Sydney has doubled in the past three years. 

The Share the Path Campaign encourages bike riders to share the paths safely with pedestrians and other bike riders. 

Put the following tips for bike riders in order of appearance.

- Use your bell

- Travel at a safe speed

- Use your light at night

- Have your bike checked

Past simple: gebruik

Je gebruikt de past simple wanneer iets in het verleden gebeurd is en als er een tijdsbepaling in de verleden tijd in staat. 

• I worked at the supermarket last year. 
  
• Benny played the guitar when he was younger.
  

Past simple: Vorm (regelmatig)

• I worked at the supermarket last year. 
  
• Benny played the guitar when he was younger.
  

Regel: Bij de past simple zet je -ed achter het werkwoord om de zin in de verleden tijd te zetten. 

Onregelmatige werkwoorden

Let op! Bij deze werkwoorden kan je niet zomaar ed erachter plakken, ze hebben hun eigen speciale vorm.

lezen: read -> read

Kopen: buy -> bought

Rijden: drive -> drove

De onregelmatige werkwoorden zijn zeker NIET logisch.... je moet ze goed uit je hoofd leren!
