Article 1: Mr. Marvis

Mr Marvis has opened his second Dutch flagship store. The new store in The Hague has an area of more than 200 square meters, making it the largest of the Dutch brand.

Spread over two floors, the entire collection of shorts, trousers and limited editions in all colors can be found. In addition to a team of style advisors, iPads have also been placed in the fitting rooms on which the entire collection can be viewed. In this way, the desired pair of trousers can be found, which is then taken to the fitting room by an employee.
There is also a 'hidden cocktail bar' in the store. At least, if the hidden button is found. Then a cocktail bar appears with an extensive range of drinks.

Article 2: Yeezy

The split with rapper Kanye 'Ye' West still weighs heavily on Adidas' results. The German sports brand lost 400 million euros in the first three months of the year. Adidas broke ties with Ye in October after about ten years. The reason was, among other things, anti-Semitic statements by the rapper. The discontinuation of the Yeezy shoe line developed with him has a major impact.
Adidas also does not yet know what to do with the unsold stock of Yeezy shoes. If no solution is found for this, the sports brand expects an operational loss of 700 million euros this year.
"2023 will be a bumpy year with disappointing figures," says CEO Bjørn Gulden, who has been in charge at Adidas since January 1. He speaks of a 'transition year', after which things can only get better.

Article 3: Batavia Stad

Batavia Stad Fashion Outlet saw its brand turnover increase by a third in the first quarter compared to 2022. Thanks to the pick-up in tourism, turnover was 22 percent higher than in the first quarter of the pre-corona year 2019.

Visitors know how to find their way to the outlet center again, according to the quarterly figures of the Via Outlets subsidiary. Customers also spent more on average: 27 percent more than in the same period in 2019, before the corona crisis.
In recent months, five brands opened their doors in the outlet for the first time, which, according to Batavia Stad, attracted more visitors to Lelystad. Ace & Tate, Catwalk Junkie, No Label, The North Face and Komono started this year.
