De tegenwoordige tijd noemen we in de Engelse taal de present simple.

I live in NY. -  Ik woon in NY.

He lives in NY. - Hij woont in NY.

We live in NY. - Wij wonen in NY.

PRESENT SIMPLE METHODE

We gebruiken de present simple als we het hebben over:

• de dingen die we met regelmaat doen (of niet). - Als iets altijd, vaak of nooit gebeurt.

VOORBEELDEN (regelmatigheid) ROUTINE

• These kids often play with each other. 
• These kids often play with each other.
• These kids play a lot with each other. 
• These kids always play with each other. 
• These kids play with each other every evening.

SHIT RULE

We voegen een -s toe indien je een werkwoord gebruikt in de 3e persoon enkelvoud: He swims, My sister plays hockey

She, He en IT, enkelvoud:

- she --> she swims fast.

- he --> he swims fast.

- it --> it swims fast.

-we --> we swim fast

-they --> they swim fast

-you --> swim fast

SHIT-regel

I, you, we, they = Hele ww (I walk, you walk, we walk, they walk)

she, he, it = Hele ww + s (she walks, he walks, it walks)
