Listening strategies:

  • Before listening; read the introduction to the task to get information about who the speakers are and what they will talk about = retrieving prior knowledge & key aspects.
  • Read the questions and options and highlight key words/phrases + think about the kind of information you need to listen for.

  • Check your answers during the 2nd listening.
