Answers 15A - when do you use the:
Past Simple: You use the past simple to describe an event that took place in the past. There is no connection with the present. Usually there is an adverb of past time in the sentence.
Present Perfect: You use the present perfect to describe an event that started ‘somewhere’ in the past and has continued up to this moment or there is still a connection with the present. Usually there is an adverb of time that emphasises the length
of time that something has been going on.
Present Perfect Continuous: You use the present perfect continuous when you want to stress the fact that something has taken quite a length of time or has been going on for some time.
