John has wanted to become a farmer ever since he was little a boy. He has admired the freedom and the laid-back life farmers seem to live. John has lived in the countryside for exactly one year. He has bought his first tractor and has started to harvest his first crop. Although life can be lonely on the farm he says: ‘I have enjoyed life on the farm so far’. 

Luckily for John, his wife Susan has moved with him to the farm. She too has enjoyed life on the farm. John and Susan have decided that they will live on the farm as long as they both enjoy it. Life on the farm can be tough. Sometimes, John and Susan need to work all day, after they have worked all night long.

Recently John has learned to milk cows and he has begun to find it much easier. Even though he has only lived on the farm for one year, he cannot imagine a life in the city.
