"Some and "Any" both mean:

So... When do you use Any and when do you use Some?

Any is used for: 

• negative sentences   

I don't like any type of sports 

There isn't any bread left.

• questions

Are there any people here?

is there any bread left?

Some is used for "normal" sentences

• (Just the sentences that are left)

• When you are just stating something (neutral)

I bought some apples at the shop

• when saying something positive

I like some artists on SoundCloud.

I have lost ____ earrings.

There isn't ____ food left.

Ofcourse... there are exceptions

(uitzonderingen)

Exception 1.

For questions you know will be answered with yes: 

you use some instead of any.

  

Can I have some coffee? 

(Yes you can)

Can I buy some muffins? 

(yes you can)

are used in the exact same way. 

"Something"

Betekenis: specifiek iets, maar je weet niet wat/ het is onduidelijk wat"

Betekenis: elk ding,  iets, maar het maakt niet echt uitwat

• Negative sentences
• questions
