Present simple
1. Normale werkwoorden: Bij he, she, it voeg je een -s toe (bijvoorbeeld work → works).
   2. Werkwoorden eindigend op -s, -x, -z, -ch, -sh: Voeg -es toe in plaats van alleen -s*(bijvoorbeeld *watch* → *watches*).
   3. Werkwoord 'zijn' (to be):  I am, you are, he/she/it is,  we are, 
they are.
4. To do/to go:  I/you/we/they: do/go, 
   he/she/it: does/goes (met -es).
5. Werkwoorden eindigend op -y: Bij he, she, it verandert de y in ies(bijvoorbeeld cry → cries).
   6. Werkwoorden met een klinker (a, e, i, o, u) voor de -y: Voeg gewoon -s toe (bijvoorbeeld play → plays).
