Watch the clip of the construction of Stonehenge, but first take a guess: How long did it take to build Stonehenge?

Complete the sentences with the past simple of the verb.
Finally, they [1 to apply] a woodworking technique to fit the horizontal stones. A masterpiece!

Next, they [2 to shape] the stones using hammerstones.

Then, they [3 to carry] larger stones to the site. They [4 to drag]the stones onto wooden rollers or [5 to load] them onto rafts.
