Grammar: Verbs with two objects
Some sentences have two objects. A direct object and an indirect object.
  • The direct object (= lijdend voorwerp) is thing (or person) affected by the verb.
  • The indirect object (= meewerkend voorwerp) is the person (or thing) that receives the direct object.

  • The indirect object can come before or after the indirect object in the sentence.
