In this lesson you will hear a man being interviewed about his life in London. He talks about the different parts of London he has lived in and how things have changed in these areas

1. Close your eyes and think about London and try to imagine it in your mind. (one minute in silence)
Get in to pairs and describe what you ʻsawʼ in your mind.

• Once you have found them, you are going to hear a man from London talking about where he lives. Listen and see which of the places he mentions.

Look at these statements.

4. I’m young and like going out a lot
5. I’ve seen a lot of changes in my life.

8. I really enjoyed living in America.


Listen again and try to decide which of these statements could be the opinions of the man in the interview. Remember, he doesnʼt say any of these sentences, so listen hard and try to justify your choices.
