  • because you use a name in the salutation the conclusion must be Yours sincerely,
  • No first names or first letters before the name in the salutation
  • Mr for man, Mrs for married woman, Miss for unmarried woman, Ms for woman ( not known or not important whether she is married or not)

  • If you use an adverb of time you can manipulate what tense you use: Last April .... -> past simple
  • When I was five years  old .... -> past simple. A clause starting with when describes a time in the past
  • Ever since -> this is a signalling word for the present perfect Ever since I have been interested in / fascinated by .....

Use these construction in your first paragraph to limit grammatical errors.

  • mind:  I am an eighteen-year-old boy                                                                   I am a seventeen-year-old girl.                                                   Do not forget the hyphens. Do not forget to write year instead of years.
  • I worked for two years = you are not working there any more                                 I have worked for two years = you still work there                                                       I am working = temporary situation or what you are doing at the moment

I do not only want to visit the battle site and make some money but I also hope to improve my fluency in English. I would like to apply for a holiday job as a guide.   • instead of spare time you can use time off

This sentence must be used as the last sentence (paragraph) of your letter. Anything else will be wrong!
