Welcome!

Let's start with some rules.

Rule #1

Be quiet when I am talking.

If you talk through my explanation, you will be set apart until you're ready to move back and follow instructions.

Paying attention

When I say: "I'd like your attention please", stop talking and pay attention to me.

Let's practice that! Talk to your neighbor about something you did this summer.

Rule #2

Raise your hand when you want to speak.

If you didn't do this, you'll need to show to the whole class how to raise your hand, OR you will not be given a turn.

Rule #3

Ask if you can leave your chair. (For example: you need to go to the bathroom.)

'Rule' #4

We will try to speak English as much as possible. Please tell me if I have used a word you don't know!

• Write down something you have done that you think no one else has done.
• If you have also done that thing, stand. If you haven't done that thing, remain seated.
