Slide 1 - Slide

Let's start with some rules.

Slide 2 - Slide

Rule #1
Be quiet when I am talking.

If you talk through my explanation, you will be set apart until you're ready to move back and follow instructions.

Slide 3 - Slide

Paying attention
When I say: "I'd like your attention please", stop talking and pay attention to me.

Let's practice that! Talk to your neighbor about why you think I want you to listen when I'm talking.

Slide 4 - Slide

Rule #2
Don't use your phone unless you've been given permission.

You will receive 1 warning. After the warning, I will take your phone and keep it for the rest of the lesson.

Slide 5 - Slide

Rule #3
Raise your hand when you want to speak.

If you didn't do this, you'll need to demonstate to the whole class how to raise your hand. Alternatively, you will not be given a turn.

Slide 6 - Slide

Rule #4
Receive permission before leaving your seat.

This counts for bathroom breaks etc. No permission = no leaving your seat.

Slide 7 - Slide

Respect the learning process.

This means:
trying your best with the exercises/activities
listening to your classmates and me
participating in discussions
not disrupting class
