The Menstrual cycle
Between the 2 and 9 weeks, average is 4 weeks.

Many hormones are involved:
LH
Luteinizing hormone (LH) is a chormone in your body that stimulates important processes in your reproductive system, like ovulation. It is made in the pituitary gland.
FSH
Follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) is a hormone your pituitary gland makes and releases that plays a role in sexual development and reproduction. It affects the function of ovaries and testicles.
oestrogen
Estrogen is a sex hormone that’s necessary for maintaining your sexual and reproductive health. Estrogen levels naturally fluctuate during your menstrual cycle and decline during menopause.
Progesterone
Progesterone is a hormone that supports menstruation and pregnancy. It typically rises during pregnancy and while using some birth control medications. Low levels can affect menstruation and fertility.
