‘Over’ and ‘above’ = boven/hoger dan iets of iemand anders.

LET OP:
Wanneer iets wordt bedekt gebruik je alleen ‘over’.
       She is wearing socks over her panties.

Wanneer je het hebt over een beweging van 1 punt naar een ander punt gebruik je alleen ‘over
             He easily jumped over the fence.

Below: Als iets op een lager niveau is maar niet direct eronder.

Between: Bij 2-tallen

Among: Bij groepen groter dan 2

Als het onwaarschijnlijk (unlikely) is dat er aan de voorwaarde wordt voldaan, gebruik je in de bijzin if + past simple
en in de hoofdzin gebruik je would (not) + infinitief (hele ww). 

Let op! Je gebruikt bij I/he/she/it in de bijzin were
If I knew where he lived, I would visit him.
I would buy a sportscar if I were rich.

  • Het is heel belangrijk, het kan niet anders of het is verplicht.

  • Iets moet van iemand anders, niet van jou.
  • 'Het is nodig' -> noodzaak

- Mum says I have to do the dishes.
- I have to finish this essay today. We have to hand them in tomorrow

Als je have to in ontkennende zinnen gebruikt, dan verandert de betekenis van 'moeten' in 'niet hoeven'.
