What is skimming and scanning?

Skimming, scanning and intensive

• Skimming -> Reading titles, headers and looking at pictures.
• Scanning -> Looking for specific information with important words.
• Intensive -> Reading all of the text to get all the details.

Reading strategies

1. Look at the title, pictures, subheading, etc

2. What do you already know about the subject?

3. Read the questions and look for the answers.
