We use reported speech to tell somebody else what a person said

backshift of tenses

She said, "I want to be a dancer."
Change this sentence from direct speech into reported speech

She asked me if I lived in London

When we report yes/no questions, the verb is not in question form and we don't use the helping verb. We use if instead. (or whether)

Present continuous:

I am teaching A3c at the moment.

Present simple:

I teach English at the RML.
