- Bij een zeer zeker vermoeden
- Bij geplande acties

Present Simple / Tegenwoordige tijd:
- Bij een gewoonte, een feit of roosters/schema's
              "I eat breakfast in the morning"
Past Simple / Verleden tijd:
- Als iets in het verleden gebeurd is of volledig afgelopen is
             "We watched a movie last night"
Present Continuous:
- Als iets 'nu' gaande is of in de nabije toekomst
             "She is working in the garden right now"
Past Continuous:
- Als iets langer aan de gang was in het verleden
              "They were laughing at the movie yesterday"
Future Simple:
- Bij een vermoeden, als je geen invloed hebt of een spontane actie
               "He will pass his exam"
Future + Going to:
- Bij een zeker vermoeden of een geplande actie
                "We are going to shop in the mall at 5 o'clock"
