Slide 6 - Slide

Articles
The
Bijv: Can you pass me the salt?
A

An
(A, E, I, O, U) : an apple

Slide 7 - Slide

No article
I live on Main street. I go to Dr. Knippenbergcollege.
I live near Lake Placid. I climbed Mount Everest.

Slide 8 - Slide

A / an for jobs

My father is a builder, my mother is a nurse.

Slide 9 - Slide

No article or the
I am in the hospital - je bent in het gebouw
He lives near the school - bij het gebouw.
He goes to university - hij studeert er.

Slide 10 - Slide

Time for some more practice
I will give you each 4 post-its in different colours. On the green one, you write "A". On the blue one: "An". On the pink one: "The" and on the yellow one: "No article" (or leave it empty)

I am going to show you a number of sentences. Which article should you use? Hold the correct colour in the air!
