The basic principles of the two-stroke engine
This engine combines two
-1- to provide a power
-2- for each revolution of the crank.
But the -3--stroke engines provide a power stroke every -4- revolutions.
A two-stroke engine has ports instead of valves to get the -5- into and out of the combustion -6- .
This not only saves -7- and money, as there is no valve -8- : camshaft, valves, valve stems, rocker arms needed, it also makes a complicated lubrication
-9- superfluous.
As a result, the two-stroke engine is -10- and less expensive than the four-stroke engine.
