A few rules before we start

• 30 minutes of explantions/questions in Lessonup afterwards 20 minutes to work on the homework. Please stay in teams with your cameras on. 
• Send me a picture of your homework before each lesson. (vandaag is nog open, morgen weer eentje)

Today's plan & goals 

• theme words: how many words do you know? 
• grammar explanations & practice:  future tense 
• At the end of this class, you will have practiced with the theme words from theme 4. 
• At the end of this class, you will know when and how to use which form of the future. 

General things 

• inclusief vandaag nog zo'n 5 lesjes tot de toetsweek. 
• vooral focus in de komende lessen op de grammatica en schrijfvaardigheid, want jullie krijgen weer een schrijfopdrachtje op de toets in de toetsweek. 
• cijfers komen morgen op Magister te staan en volgende week gaan we de toets bespreken in de les als we weer fysiek bij elkaar zijn.  

Theme words (5 minutes)

1. I will mention a word from the "theme words" list which can be in Dutch or English. 

2. blue item = I know the word

red item = I do not know the word

3. I will ask someone to give me the correct answer. 

Met de 'Future Tense' kan ik dingen zeggen over:

1. Wat er nog gaat gebeuren
2. Wat in het eerder al is gebeurd
3. Wat nu aan de gang is
4. Wat in het verleden begon en nu stopt

Welke vormen?

1. Present Simple (stam of stam + s bij he/she/it)

The match starts at 7 PM.

2. present continuous 

I am sleeping at my grandma's place tonight at 10 PM. 

3. To be going to + hele ww 

She is going to sell her car.

 4. Will + hele ww

I will remember to congratulate you. 

Maar wanneer welke vorm?

stappenplan: future 

schema/rooster? -> present simple: hele ww / he/she/it +s

plan dat vaststaat? (datum/tijd is afgesproken) -> present continuous am/are/is + ww+ ing 

plan/intentie (staat niet vast)? -> going to + ww 

voorspelling / belofte/ aanbieden (zal ik...)

1. Present Simple

Je gebruikt de Present Simple als iets in de toekomst volgens een schema gaat gebeuren. Dit zijn dingen die heel zeker zijn.

Bijvoorbeeld roosters en treintijden.

The train arrives at 9 o'clock tomorrow morning.

My plane leaves at 5 o'clock tomorrow afternoon. 

2. present continuous 

Je gebruikt present continuous om aan te geven dat je een plan vast staat (datum en tijd zijn afgesproken). 

My parents are visiting the museum at 5 'o clock this afternoon. 

I am seeing my grandma in Amsterdam this September 22nd. 

3. To be going to + hele ww

Je gebruikt to be going to + hele ww als je een plan maakt of een intentie hebt

The teacher is going to grade the exams tonight.

The students are going to watch Netflix after school today. 

I am going to football practice after school today. 

4. Will + hele ww

Je gebruikt will / shall + hele ww als dingen 

als je een voorspelling doet of iets belooft

I think we will stay inside a few more weeks longer.

will + not = WON'T

Tomorrow: geen les, maar zelfstudie. Je maakt exercises 53 + 54 (p.43-45) en leert words A & C.  Lever een foto van je opdrachtjes in, in teams zodat ik kan zien dat je het gemaakt hebt. 

Next Monday: maak exercises 14 (p.16)-19-20 (p. 21)+ study Stone 10

Final 20 minutes

- Je maakt exercises 53 + 54 (p.43-45) en leert words A & C. Lever een foto van 53 & 54 in via Teams.
