Present Perfect (voltooid tegenwoordige tijd)

De present perfect wordt gebruikt om aan te geven dat iets in het verleden gebeurd is en het nu nog belangrijk of aan de gang is. Er is dus een link naar toen en nu. 

Om de present perfect te maken heb je altijd 2 werkwoorden nodig: have / has + voltooid deelwoord.

Present Perfect

Past Simple: I lived in Rotterdam for 10 years. 

VS

Present Perfect: I have lived in Rotterdam for 10 years. 

What is the difference? 

In de eerste zin woonde je er in het verleden een periode van 10 jaar (en nu niet meer), in de tweede zin woon je er nu al 10 jaar (en dus nog steeds)

Louise _____ (wrap) half the Christmas gifts so far.

I _____ (live) in Rotterdam for ten years now.

She _____ (take) an umbrella with her.

He _____ (write) me so many letters already.

The cars _____ (be) sent to the impound.
