What is the Present Simple?
The present simple is used to talk about regular actions or:
  • Facts                           Water boils at 100 degrees celsius.
  • Routines                    I always have tennis practise on mondays.
  • Fixed schedules    The bus departs every 30 minutes.

Forming the Present Simple
Usually the present simple follows the same rule.

There is one exception however:
  • SHIT rule
  • She / He / It get an extra -s at the end of the word

Negative Sentences
To make a negative sentence in the present simple, we use 'do not' or 'does not' before the verb.

I don't like my new teacher.
She doesn't like her new teacher.

Question Sentences
To form a question in the present simple, we use 'do' or 'does' at the beginning of the sentence.

Do I like my new teacher?
Does she like her new teacher?
