Adjective

says something about a noun.

Beyoncé is a    nice        lady.

Adverb

says something about

1. a verb 

                     He talked nervously.

2. an adjective 

         She was an incredibly angry lady

                   He paints extremely quickly

Adjective

• basic: strong
• ends with +e : terrible
  
• medeklinker +l : beautiful
• medeklinker +y : easy 
• ends with -ic : fantastic

Adverb

adjective + ly = adverb 

• -ly:       stongly
• -e > y  terribly
  
• -lly :     beautifully
• -ily :     easily
• -ally : fantastically 

Adjective

Some have a different adverb:

He is a good boy.

Sometimes it stays the same:

fast, long, fair, low, high, hard

That is a fast car.

Adverb

adjective + ly = adverb 

He studies well.

It drives fast.

to be, to feel, to smell, to taste, to hear, to seem, to sound 

veranderen niet bij een adverb:

He is a beautiful boy.

A wonderful smell

Place of the Adverb

1. Vóór een bijvoegelijk naamwoord of ander bijwoord.

You're going to become extremely popular.

2. Vóór het hoofdwerkwoord.

She regularly asks me te write for het website.

3. Aan het einde van de zin voor extra nadruk.

He grabbed the snake quickly.
