Past Continuous

The Past Continuous means that at a time in the past, we were in the middle of an action. 

De Past Continuous betekent dat we op een moment in het verleden midden in een actie zaten.

Past tense of be + verb + ing

I/he/she/it was playing

You/we/they were playing

I was running in the park when you arrived.
