onderwerp - werkwoord(en) - lijdend voorwerp/meewerkend voorwerp - plaats - tijd 

Vaste volgorde Engelse zinnen!

Word order
Plaats bijwoorden van onbepaalde tijd (bijv. always, never, usually, often):

- 1 werkwoord, niet vorm van 'to be'? Voor het werkwoord.
             He often walks to school. 
- meerder werkwoorden? Na eerste hulpwerkwoord
             They are always complaining. 
- 1 werkwoord, vorm van 'to be'? Na het werkwoord
             He is usually late. 
- vragende zin? Na het onderwerp 
            Do you always talk while watching a movie?

Bij korte bevestigende zinnen met 'so' of 'neither' zet je wél het onderwerp na het werkwoord.

I like watching movies. - So do I. 
They don't enjoy going out to dinner. - Neither do we.
