Op welke manieren kan je over de toekomst praten?
Dit kan op vier manieren, namelijk door gebruik te maken van:
- present simple
- present continuous
- to be going to + hele werkwoord
- will/shall + hele werkwoord

Slide 6 - Slide

present simple
You can use the present simple talking about the future when there is a schedule or when there is a specific time slot.
Example:
- Class ends at 9 o'clock.
- The match starts in front of the huge crowd.

Slide 7 - Slide

present continuous
You can use the present continuous talking about the future when something is going to happen almost certainly. You have organised a few things.
examples:
Lenn is playing an important match this Saturday.
Unfortunately, Wies isn't coming to the concert.

Slide 8 - Slide

to be going to + hele werkwoord
You can use to be going to + hele werkwoord when you've made plans before a conversation and when you make a prediction WITH evidence:
- We're going to visit London.
- Look at him! He is going to win the race!

Slide 9 - Slide

will/shall + hele ww
You use it when you make plans during the conversation or you make a prediction without evidence or based on your opinion:
- You're right, I will visit my parents.
- I think we will  win the league.

Slide 10 - Slide

will/shall + hele ww
You can also use it when you make promise (= belofte), spontaneous offer (spontane aanbod), request ( verzoek), proposal (voorstel) :
