Tag questions (korte vraagjes)
Een question tag is een kort vraagje aan het eind van een zin. Daarmee vraag je eigenlijk: 'Klopt dat?' of: 'Ben je dat met me eens?'
Na een bevestigende zin (+) is de tag ontkennend (-).
Na een ontkennende zin (-) is de tag bevestigend (+).
In de tag herhaal je de vormen van to be en van hulpwerkwoorden (bijvoorbeeld do, have, can, could, will, would, should) uit de hoofdzin.
In alle andere gevallen gebruik je de "dummy-do"
