The use of Much and Many

MUCH en MANY betekenen alletwee 'VEEL".

Het GROOOOOTE verschil:

Many gebruik je voor woorden in het meervoud, van dingen die je kunt tellen.

Much gebruik je voor woorden in het enkelvoud die je niet kunt tellen. Denk bijvoorbeeld aan 'zand' of 'water'.

The use of Much and Many

If you don't want to use much or many, you can use

A LOT OF!!

New subject: going to

If you want to talk about something in the near future, you can use:   GOING TO

How to use it: person +  AM/ IS /ARE + going to

For instance: ik ga bij McDonalds eten = I am going to eat at McDonalds

Going to

Examples:

He is going to sleep at 8.

We are going to the cinema next Sunday

And ofcourse you can use the short version:

He's going to sleep at 8

We're going to the cinema next Sunday

En als je wilt zeggen dat het juist NIET gaat gebeuren, zet je er NOT bij. Dat mag je ook afkorten.

We are NOT going to the cinema  

We aren't going to

He is NOT going to sleep at 8

He isn't going to

Asking questions with Going to:

Start with the VERB!

(When) Are  we going to the cinema ? 

Is he going to sleep at 8?
