Future Tenses

1. Present Simple             "The train leaves at 11:00."
2. Present Continuous  "I am meeting Jane at 15:00 at the mall."
3. Am/is/are going to     "It is going to rain soon."
4. Will + werkwoord        "I will help you out, I promise!"

1. Present Simple

Present Simple = hele werkwoord of werkwoord + s
- "We leave, They arrive, The train leaves, ... "
- Gebruik je voor roosters, schema's, openingstijden, enz.
- Alle zaken die vast staan.

"Our train leaves at 17:00."   "The pool closes at 21:00."

2. Present Continuous

Present Continuous = am/is/are + werkwoord + ing
- "We are meeting, I am visiting, He is calling, ... "
- Gebruik je voor afspraken/besluiten die vast staan
- Meestal is er een tijd & plaats bekend

"We are visiting my grandparents tonight."
"I am meeting Lucy at the cinema around 20:00."

3. Am/is/are going to

Am/is/are + going to + werkwoord
- "I am going to call, It is going to rain, We are going to write, ... "
- Gebruik je voor besluiten / voornemens:
   "I am going to write you back soon."
- Gebruik je voor voorspellingen met bewijs:
  "Look at those clouds. It is going to rain soon!"

4. Will

Will + hele werkwoord
- "I will call, We will help, She will forget
- Gebruik je als je iets aankondigt wat je net hebt besloten,
   om iets aan te bieden, voor beloftes en voor vragen:
   "I will help you out, I promise!"
- Gebruik je bij voorspellingen zonder bewijs:
   "I think the Netherlands will win the world cup in four years."
