Questions with auxiliary verbs : Before the subject: aux. verb – subject – main verb
  • Do you like French food?
  • Will you call me later?
  • Has she left before you arrived?






Question tags: 'niet waar?' / 'toch?' = Turning a statement into a question
  • She is busy, isn’t she?
  • I am too short, aren’t I?
  • You don’t speak English, do you?

Main clause negative? Question tag positive.
Main clause positive? Question tag negative.
