• Because of guns, they conquered in 'little' time, very large areas.

First problems 15th - 18th century

Different colonies of different countries started wars for more power and land.

• Indian wars

• France-Britain at war

The American Revolution (1765 - 1791)

to summerize: The new inhabitants of 'the new world' didn't want Great Britain and his king, to have all the power.
