  • I have participated in a few tournaments.
  • She’s looked everywhere.
  • They have disappointed me.
  •  Formule = have/has + past participle
  • Past participle = voltooid deelwoord
  • Default rule = heel werkwoord + ed
  • Irregular verbs = 3rd row
  • E.g. been, written, driven

  • 1) When it has started in the past and is still going on

  • We have lived here for three years
  • Mrs Jones has worked here since 2017
  • 2) When it has happened in the past and the effects are still  visible/there
  • I have already painted my room
  • She has just painted her nails

  • 3) Things that have happened in the past but you don't know when or when is  not important
  • They have travelled to Australia
  • Kate has planned a trip
