Objectives:

• You are able to have a telephone conversation in proper English
• You know what means of communication is your most favourite and can expres why.
• You know what collocations are and why you should learn them

Correct the mistakes in the following sentences (if any).

1. Peter is the man whom Annie fell in love with.

2. Is that the lady, whose husband robbed a bank?

3. In the military, D-Day is the day on which a combat attack or operation is to be initiated.

Useful language for phone dialogues

Language is about listening to, imitating and learning from others. Therefore for the task on slide 13 you are allowed to get inspiration from Phone conversation

Write a fictional telephone dialogue yourself. Try and use phrases from unit 6.
Your dialogue should consist of 8 to 10 sentences. The subject of it is up to you.

To collocate (collocation)

If one word collocates with another, they often occur together.

Collocations sound natural....
