Can and could

Can	Something is possible or you or someone else can do something.	Present tense	can't or cannot	He can type with his eyes closed.
Could	Could is the past tense of can. You can use could if you want to ask something politely. You can use could if something ( could ) happen.	Past tense Politeness	couldn't or could not	We could travel to Egypt to see the pyramids. Could I read your assignment?

Should, must, have to
