Strategy: Identifying speakers’ roles
When you have to match speakers to what they said, these tips can help:
1. Before listening, read through the answer options or statements.
2. While listening, focus on the speaker's main point: what is their overall meaning?
3. If you hear the exact words from an option in a fragment, it's almost never the right answer!
4. Keep listening to the whole fragment and then choose your answer.
5. Check your answers again when you're listening a second time.
