For most nouns (zelfstandige naamwoorden) the rule is:
add -s to the word

For example:
One boy --> two boys
One apple --> three apples
One house --> four houses
Remember: never use 's to make a plural!

1. If the word ends in consonant + y (medeklinker + y), the -y changes into -ies in plurals
