Done? Take out a piece of paper and number it 1 - 10. Leave two lines between the numbers.  Like this:

DICTATION 

1. Write down what I dictate on the first line, the second line, the third line etc. Leave the second line empty. 
2. AFTER the last sentence, write the Dutch translations.

My uncle is forty-eight  / Mijn oom is achtenveertig

The hair on your chin is called a beard. / Het haar op je kin heet een baard. 

I always have my hair in a ponytail when I swim / Ik heb mijn haar altijd in een (paarden)staart als ik ga zwemmen. 

I don't like my braces. / Ik houd niet van mijn beugel. 

Now what? 

1. Turn to page 44, read the strategy in exercise 18 and answer the question. 

2. Read the text and do exercise 19,  21, 22. Work alone or in pairs; reading requires concentration so be quiet! You have fifteen minutes. 

Speaking

1. Do exercise 23 and 24.

2. Then find a partner and do exercise 25 and 26. Find a place where you can speak without bothering anyone.
