A form of to be > whole verb + ing

Pay attention to: 

Verbs ending on an e: Remove the e

I am having dinner now. 

Short words like cut or swap: 

You add a second consonant 

Cutting> Swapping

Ending on a y and with one vowel? : 

Just add -ing behind it. 

I am playing.

When something is going on at the moment you are writing it or speaking about it

I am teaching English right now.

Pay attention to: 

Verbs ending on e, will only get a -d

To bake > baked

Verbs ending on y with a consonant in front will get -ied

To marry > Married
