When you listen for specific information, you need to be able to give specific details about dates, places, people, etc.

concentrate on what someone is saying,
– write down important things you have to remember,
– pay attention to words that stand out.

 For example: if you are looking for a price, pay attention to numbers and currencies (euro, pound, dollar).
