Books

Pick a book!

What: Browse the class bookshelf and pick a book that interests you. Analyse its summary and complete the task at your own level!

How?: Read the back or use google to search a summary! 

Time: ±15 minutes

Finished?: get ready to present it in a group setting ! try to persuade your group in reading the book.

Book discussion

What: In groups of 3–4, share the information you gathered during the previous task. Discuss your book using guided questions based on your own level.

How: Each student explains their book choice and answers:

Time: ±10–12 minutes

Result: Students share their book info, reflect together, and compare stories.

Predict the next chapter

What: Based on what you have read and analysed (theme, characters, setting), write a prediction about what will happen next in the story.

How: Based on what you read today, predict what will happen next. You can use google as a helping tool.

Time: 10 minutes

Finished?: Check your writing: ✔️ Is it clear? ✔️ Did you give a reason or example? ✔️ Did you use complete sentences?

Peerfeedback

What: Exchange your “prediction” writing with a partner and give peer feedback using the rubric.

How: Swap texts and use the Peer Feedback Rubric to reflect on each other’s work.

Reflection on theme, character, or plot
